Video Breakup

Anyone have any thoughts as to some video breakup I'm getting? See photo.

This occurs when I'm viewing the video in BI. If I export the video and view as an avi in a media player, it seems to be ok.

BI v4.7
Camera is a Dahua HFW5231E-Z5

I also get the same issues with a Dahua HDW5231R-Z

not an expert

1) does the Beakup occur only at night ?
2) are you using Intel GPU processing Quick Sync, hard ware acceleration ?
3) provide a screen shot of the camera settings in the camera... frame rate, iframe, bit rate.....
4) what is your CPU type


If using hardware acceleration turn it off and see if the problem changes.

Need to see screenshots of your camera settings under the video tab of your browser AND the video tab in BI>Camera Properties>Video as well as BI>Camera Properties>Video>Configure.

There are several causes for this symptom.
1) bad intel driver when using HA.
2) dropped packets.
3) iframe interval not matching fps.
4) a headless system not plugged into any monitor may have this issue as well.

#1 & #2 - not entirely sure how I'd test these issues.
#3 - both match
#4 - mmmm. Technically headless but I do have a HDMI cable out of the PC into an AV receiver. Very rarely would the input on the AVR be switched to the PC so this might be the issue.

1) I think it happens day and night.
2) I think I'm using QuickSync
3) Above post
4) i7-4790, 32GB Ram, Win 10 Enterprise.

To test if you have the correct driver, turn off hardware acceleration on all cameras.

And also turn off "also bvr" for testing.

On your second picture, on the Video tab in BI, set the Max Frame rate to 26. This most likely is not the issue, but that will free up a tad bit of memory by lowering that to 26.
