Use SD card in camera to act as buffer for Blue Iris

I have 4 wired Amcrest cameras connected to Blue Iris, but I still occasionally get choppy recordings or recordings are missed altogether because I assume there is some network connectivity blip. If I put SD cards in all the cameras, is there a way to configure the cameras to record there and have Blue Iris use that if the network temporarily drops while a recording is being made?

Blue iris does not use the camera SD.

The choppiness is caused by poor network configuration, or poor camera configuration, under powered or miss configured BI PC....
