Currently I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-Q2 (8 port) NAS and 6 DS-2CD2143G0-I dome cameras purchased new in 2018 and I'm looking to replace the system with a new one.
Things that irritate me about the current system is the browser support on desktop computers, the janky way to download incident files and the lack of firmware updates to address these issues.
Edited to add: no sound on the cameras is also a dislike...
I do like the phone app where I can remotely view the cameras from anywhere that has a wifi/cellular data.
I also like the fact I don't pay a monthly subscription.
Looking for recommendations on a wired NVR with local storage and POE cameras that has an app where video can be viewed remotely.
Also prefer no monthly subscription.
Essentially, what I have but newer with better resolution options....
The Canadian government has told Hikvision to wind down it's operations here in Canada so a new Hikvision is not on the table.
