The 1st Amendment Thread

Well, I was not aware of this. Colorado has a CRIMINAL law that can send you to jail for up to 4 months if you do NOT use a person's preferred name or pronouns...

Uh oh.....every waitress up where I live calls everybody "sweetheart, honey, hun, darlin' or baby" ! :lmao:

That's the least of my worries... I'm pretty sure Vail has an outstanding warrant for a guy named John Fitz... just kidding, but they should :)

Youtuber Denver Metro Audits uses DMCA law in an attempt to shutdown critic, critical freedom of speech issues associated with this as the claim is that downloading a youtube video is breaking DMCA ( that is hacking to save a video )

In this example they used a youtuber downloader program to do so.

These things are so addicting LOL.

Have you seen these people going around calling themselves "1st Amendment Auditors" and going to places where they can legally record but basically instigate people and many times resulting in these auditors using pepper spray or mace.

Like this one here where a shop owner gets mad to the point he touches the camera so the camera guy maces the store owner and the police come and the store owner is the one that gets the ticket.

Legally that is the law. But these 1st amendment folks do nothing to try to de-escalate.

I have been watching a guy doing this at Dispensaries and pissing people off just by filming in public (First Amendment Protection Agency), and another channel called Liberty Trolls. The F A P A guy got arrested in Mississippi for "causing a public disturbance" or something like that. Thanks for posting this video--- nice change of pace from the Dispensary videos I have seen. The FAPA guy once posted an earnings statement from his channel -- he made about $20,000 for that particular month off Youtube with about 160,000 people subscribed. I doubt that extrapolates out to an annual earnings, but clearly they can make some money doing this.

Yeah I saw one two nights ago at a dispensary (not sure which channel) and this old lady grabbed the camera and he sprayed her. He was not cited and the police sided with him based on witness testimony and watching the video and were ready to cite her. The dude decided not to press charges since she was in such bad shape she had to be ambulanced to the hospital.

They are addicting to watch. Some of them seem to be ok folks, but many are clearly there to entice an incident.

Dang. That dude was nailed.

Many of these auditors go out in groups of 4 to 6 with their faces completely covered with menacing designs on masks and sunglasses on and some even where gloves and no skin is exposed to even see race.

And then they go around instigating.

Those are the ones that get the views lol, but they also show just in general poor behavior and rudeness.

Just because it's legal doesnt mean it is polite and taking it to the point or provocation isn't cool either.

Looks like the dude in this video wasn't doing any of that and just ran across a confrontational guy.

If it hasn't happened, one of these auditor types are going to get shot.
