Hey everyone,

Reporting an undisclosed regression in Taylor platform firmware V2.840.0000000.22.R that disables IR LED output while all APIs report normal operation.

Affected cameras:
  • 1x DH-IPC-HFW2449S-S-IL (on V.22)
  • 2x DH-IPC-HDBW2441E-S (updated to V.26, still broken)
  • NVR: DHI-NVR4116HS-8P-EI, V4.005
What happened: On Jan 21, 2026 at 22:13 (per system log), NVR auto-updated 3 cameras from V.19 → V.22. Since then: ICR clicks, B/W mode activates, IR LEDs do not illuminate. Total blackout in darkness.

Every software path exhausted:
TestResult
Factory reset❌

CGI Lighting[0][0].Mode=Manual, Light=100
OK returned — no LED response
ONVIF SetImagingSettings IrCutFilter=OFF
OK returned — no LED response

ONVIF GetOptions → IrCutFilterModes
Empty array []
Update to V.26❌ Still broken

Downgrade to V.19 (web + ONVIF Maintenance)

❌ Anti-rollback
Flash Poland fix V2.840.100J003.0.R❌ Anti-rollback
Telnet 23 / 2300 / SSH 22❌ All closed

The smoking gun: IrCutFilterModes: [], firmware de-registered IR modes from ONVIF entirely. Both CGI and ONVIF accept commands at the API layer but the LED driver doesn't execute. Bug is at HAL level.

Release Notes context: V.22 changelog only mentions "DMSS message subscription." Zero illuminator changes documented. V.23 through V.26 (3 releases in 83 days) all fix ONVIF issues only, no IR fix.

Asking:
  1. Anyone else hit this on Taylor after V.22?
  2. Can someone reach this to Dahua R&D?
Located in Chile. Local Dahua distributor (SSTT) contacted, pending response.

Best regards,
Francisco Chavez
