FYI FWIW that here's a picture of the wiring hardness from the T54PRO-ZE ... figured a searchable post might be handy for those down the road wondering who, like me, are not long-time expert installers like many here.
I believe the other new cams have similar wiring ... and that the 12V power OUT is new. So you can provide power to an external microphone - maybe enough for a external UV light?
It's actually quite the wiring harness, so a bit of work to tuck it all away. I'm using the PFB2203 wall mount and you want to have the camera pointed in the general right direction since if you really move it, the cables may "fight" you.
My guess is the majority of people don't use the various cables such as serial interface, microphone in, speaker out, alarm, etc. So for those of us just using Ethernet, it's a bit of a unnecessary work. I wonder if Dahua has ever thought about just providing the Ethernet cable, with a "junction connection/cable" that you can optionally plug in to get all the others. I assume most people just put electrical tape on the ends of all those wires.
For completeness, I'll mention they include an Ethernet gland ... and it's super-easy to thread the Ethernet cable from either side of the PFB2203 that has removable plastic cut-outs on both side. Very slick since after you screw the mounting plate on your wall, you put everything else together ... and then just plug the Ethernet cable in, seal up the gland, and then place it on the mounting plate and screw in the set screw. It feels very sturdy to me ... and a similar arrangement on a 5442-S3 hasn't budged in a couple of years. Reverse to take off.
BTW, I was VERY impressed by the wire stripping done on those super-thin wires ... and when you first unpack it (forgot to take a picture - this one has been "stuffed" a few times), it's perfect.
