Today is a hot one here in Ohio. Hot and Sunny. Nevertheless, my camera has been in the shade so far today but i walked by it earlier this afternoon and noticed it was making a strange sound. The motors should not be working in it. It was standing stationary. transmitting wifi only. still have a great picture and all. If anybody has any idea why it would be making a noise like this i would be interested in hearing about it. its a chirping kind of sound almost.

That is a pretty normal sound which I hear from any large PTZ up close. I assume it is either a cooling fan or some kind of hum from the motors as they maintain the current camera position (you'll notice the camera dome is limp when it is off, but fairly rigid when powered on).

Its communicating with aliens from outer space. Sending signals down to Earth to find a safe spot to land. The Year 2020 brings a lot to the table

And here I thought all I have to worry about is a hacked camera communicating with someone on Earth! What is the firewall setting for aliens??

If you listen closely, it's in binary. It is saying this:

01001100 01100001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01101000 01100101 01110010 01100101

Translate that binary into words and the result is _ (Fill in the Blank )
At least it sounds better than an old school typewriter
