snapshots are black

Tried to get a snapshot, and it's coming out all black. Also I noticed when I pause the video, the view turns all black. any ideas?

interestingly enough, it's doing this on my Geeya 801C camera, and not my hikvision

Sounds like a direct to disc recording glitch.

What do you mean by "tried to get a snapshot" anyway?

odd... only doing it with one camera though...

snapshot??? ya know. right click on the picture and select snapshot to get that 1 image from the video for that frame...
