Aren't fireworks still illegal in Santa Clara County and most places (if not all) in California? They were when I lived out there.
Of course being illegal doesn't keep people from buying somewhere else or getting them illegally and setting them off....they caused so many fires before they were banned and still do when they're used illegally.
