I had a HD/mobo crash and now do not know my BI serial to reinstall it. I do have a directory with a bunch of BI_REG_2019-xx.yy.reg files wher xx-yy is month and day. could the serial number be in the reg backups? and if so how can i find it

If you import the reg file into your registry, then use this program to read the key: bp2008/biupdatehelper

It might be called a BI4 key even if you had BI5.

Print key on label, attach label to BI pc.
