I was having difficulty getting my furnace’s inlet and blow off valves dialed in since having rebuilt them after sediment and rust fouled them. I was tired of having to squeeze into a tight space in the basement to check system pressure and the small bucket that catches water from the blow off valve several times a day.
Enter my recently retired my back doorbell (an EZVIZ db1c). I salvaged it and the old doorbell transformer and now I can check the gauge and the bucket remotely as often as I please.
If only I could devise a way for it to alert me when the bucket is full.
