Relay output?

Hi all,

I have several Ctronics cameras - two CTIPC-285C and a CTIPC-800C. The 800C is a bit naff compared to the other two but it does have more modern firmware (and you can actually turn off the IR LEDs completely if you want!!).

In the HiP2P software and web interface there is an option for the relay output. I know what this is but the Ctronics cameras don't have the wiring for it unfortunately.

I don't have root telnet either :(

Is there anyway other than via the android app notifications, to get a signal of some sort when these detect something or change preset position? I can't come up with any easy way to think of it other than to poll the cameras each second from another device but even then I can't find any way to get the current position from them via http calls.

I have thought of writing my own FTP or email server which when triggered by the camera could obviously activate whatever (and this may be my best option) but i was just wondering if anyone had a cleaner non-bodge way..
