Recent windows updates causing BI 5.9.9.71 to stop working... help

In the past few weeks during my travels, I noticed occasionally my BI3 stopped working/recording and wouldn't even connect remotely.
I would remote into the pc and see the pc wasn't locked up, just blue iris, so killing the task and letting it auto restart immediately fixed it (for awhile).
I did notice that in the past week this was happening Windows 11 was updating.
I also have not had problems, at all, on this pc in a very long time (since I built it 2+ years ago).
I tried previous versions of BI and the current version, still occasionally hangs up with Task manager showing little/no activity for BI.
I always use the most stable BI version, not the newest.
This happened again this morning while I'm now at home. I can get to the BI console but can't do anything on it, again restarting the BI task temporarily fixes it.
Is anyone else experiencing issues with recent Windows updates?

Most of us turn off windows updates to prevent this issue.

Would Love to but the best I can do is delay it for up to 5 weeks. I recall Microsoft turned on something a few years back that prevents users from doing just that indefinitely. Do you know a way to do this for Windows 11?

Simple: go to www.carifred.com, download and install their free "WAU Manager" program. Either of the two top options on the main "Dashboard" page will put you in control of when or whether Windows updates get installed.

Edit: Just FYI, I am on a fully up to date Windows 11 installation and have not experienced any instability in B.I., up to and including 5.9.9.73. Perhaps you are being affected by the still unsolved SSD (Phison controller based) disappearing issue, search for it. Microsoft denies any responsibility or link to any updates, but TBD.

I feel certain I've tried that WAU manager program a year or two ago with no success, but will try again. Thanks. I'll also search for the Phison controller issue, which I'm not familiar with. Thanks.
