so for me its fairly simple, i only have 2 places i need BI to work
home / work

PC
i dont need to see home from work on PC
However I would like to see home and work BI on one pc at home, not sure how to attempt to do that, i tried opening BI again but it just opens same window, alternate question, am i able to use my work licence in 2 places at same time? or would i need 3 licences (one to view HOME BI @ HOME, ONE TO VIEW WORK BI @ WORk, ONE TO VIEW WORK BI @ HOME

MOBILE
am i able to view both home/work BI at same time (or at least pull alerts from both?), seems kind of silly that i can only connect to one server at a time,

You only need one Blue Iris license per Blue Iris server. Remote access is done through Blue Iris's built-in web server which allows unlimited remote access without additional licensing.

Your best bet for remote access to the WORK BI from home is to use the UI3 web interface which is free and comes built in to Blue Iris. If you have not already set up a way to achieve the network connection, then I recommend you use "Zerotier". Here is a video showing how it is done.

It sounds like you were trying to use the Blue Iris desktop app for remote access, which is technically possible, but it only lets you view one BI system at a time. There is currently no app that can effectively access more than one BI server at a time, but you can run as many instances of UI3 as you want in different browser windows.

[5.9.9.61] Remote management now allows for a local camera frame window when the UI is
connected to a remote server. There have been efficiency improvements as well to allow for
much quicker UI transition between servers.
[5.9.9.60] Remote management update to add desktop frame windows for connected
servers, allowing you to monitor multiple locations simultaneously via the desktop client.
Right-click on the Status/Remote list to find this option. Right-click in the desktop frame
to select a camera group and to enable audio. This will be updated to include status display
options as well.

Ok yeah the built-in remote management of multiple systems is pretty bad. It still takes way too long to get connected due to needing to transfer a huge block of clip/alert database info upon connection. The new desktop frame windows seem to be very limited in capabilities. It'll show me any camera group, but I can't maximize a single camera by clicking or double clicking on it. It doesn't provide an alert list or any of the other remote management interface. Just a live group view only. One of the systems I tried it with, the video feed in BI remote management was badly corrupted. UI3 is still much better unless you absolutely need a borderless group video window.
