Push to record button. Need help with Alarm In/Out

I have an interview room that I need to set up a push button to start/stop recording and also have some sort of light in the room to indicate that the recording is in progress. For an NVR with an Alarm In/Out. Can this be done with a momentary switch or would I need a latching switch to make this happen? This is a LTS Pro-VS NVR. Any help you could provide on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated.

A momentary push button will do the job. Just set the NVR to see that press as start/stop. Then hook your light to the alarm out so it comes on when it’s recording. No need for a latching switch unless you want the button to physically stay down.
