PTZ425DB-AT vs PTZ425DB-AT-R - Low Noise?

I need a PTZ with zoom, so I plan on ordering a PTZ425DB-AT soon. I see the smoke lens version, the PTZ425DB-AT-R seems to suggest it has a low noise motor

Is this not present on the regular model?

@EMPIRETECANDY is the regular one also going on sale soon? I see the -R is going to be on sale soon

It is one of the more silent PTZs since the movement mechanism is protected by the dome. Mine kinda sounds like R2-D2 when up close to it.

Keep in mind that this camera needs a lot of light for any distance.

for me classic PTZ425DB-AT is one of the loudest PTZ cams...
it generates very high frequency pitch noise (R2-D2 is good comparison :) - which moves over air at longer distances and it's very easy to determine source / direction of...

I had installed PTZ425DB-AT for some time on my home building, people from street simply stared at that PTZ when it started to move..
Finally I removed it (cctv laws in EU are much more strict, I didn't want any problems)...

Can someone (Andy @EMPIRETECANDY) confirm / deny that the new 'smoke lens' version is much more silent / have different frequency / noise type?

The stocks is on the way to US, 26th will arrive at Long Beach CA, and then need some days to be delivered to Amazon. So i think they can deliver to you at early April. They will ship you soon when cameras delivered.

I can confirm that SD425DB-AT-R (stealth version of MiniPTZ) is most silent (audible) PTZ which I tested in my life.
even more silent in comparison to bigger brothers from SD5 series, which have very low frequency (bass frequencies) sounds..

I have on my desk and I almost don't hear it..

Dahua changed all motors and fans inside..
no more squishy high pitched R2-D2 sounds which normal version SD425DB-AT had..

I prefer my R2D2. It gets everyone to look up straight into the camera ;)

PTZ425DB-AT-R this one even put on desk you can't hear anthing. So can be good for some indoor business places or some place need very quiet monitoring.​

Smoke housing also make the camera direction invisiable.
