Problems triggering anything other than normal motion detection....

I recently purchased a Dahua IPC-B54IR-ASE-S3 and am trying to tie it into Home Assistant. Everything works fine except for the native camera motion detection. Regardless of the toggling of various AI/"Smart Plan" or "Motion Detection"/"Smart Motion Detection" options, I only ever see a trigger of generic motion detection come through. Has anyone here had any luck getting the camera to detect more? I'm basing everything of the feedback from home assistant, because I haven't found where in the camera's GUI for it to tell me what type of detect it detected (no internal log).

I tried that. However, when I used Smart Plan/IVS.. I get zero alert passed through to home assistant. I don't know if the camera itself it detecting anything; possibly because I don't know where to look on it.

Watch the camera in live view with the IVS rules displayed and have someone go walk it and trigger it - if the line and box don't turn red, it isn't triggering it.

And make sure you are not doing the testing inside where you are waving a hand in front of the camera or the camera only sees half of you - IVS wasn't designed for that.

Or if an SD card is in the camera, go to the playback and see if anything IVS was recorded.

Some screenshots of your settings, your IVS rule drawings and field of view screenshots will help tremendously in troubleshooting this.

Assume using ONVIF? Does that pass AI/IVS?

I think you hit on something. I changed from using the built in Dahua integration to ONVIF and ONVIF returned more useful data. Intrusion is detected as "General Field Detection detected motion". It's doesn't say human/vehicle/animal/etc... but it's better than nothing. The 'look for the red box' was a good tip too.

Thanks again for all your help. I maybe good from here.
