I am having some picture issues with my Hikvision DS-7108N-SN NVR. The picture starts to degrade slowly on the cameras one by one to the point where the entire screen is affected (see the picture attached).
I replaced the power supply and it didn't fix the issue. I opened the NVR and found nothing apparent wrong. There are 3 capacitors and they don't look swollen or anything. Not sure where to look further. The board is pretty simple on this NVR.
Any advice? Thanks in advance

Some questions to see if we can offer any suggestions:

Is this new behaviour from an NVR that used to work OK?

What are the cameras, and what bitrate and resolution are they set to?

What encoding standard are the cameras set to?

If you reset a camera to default settings (then return the IP address and password to original values) does the effect continue?

How are the cameras connected - direct wired ethernet, or WiFi?

It looks like your screenshot is VGA/HDMI interface Live View.
Do you see the same effect on Playback?

Do you see the same effect on the NVR web GUI Live View?

Do you see the same effect on the Live View of the camera web GUI itself?

If the cameras are on a switch, does it have the ability to show traffic/error counts for the ports?

I fixed the issue! The fix was rather trivial. The NVR was getting really sluggish and it was restarting once in a while. While going thru the menus I noticed the HDD was full. I initialized it and the problem went away. For some reason the full HDD did not trigger a warning.
All good now. Thanks Alastair!

That's a bit odd - unless the HDD Storage is not set to overwrite.
Was that a conscious choice in the configuration?

Maybe worth checking the system logs to see what warnings or errors are in there.

But it's good that you got round the problems.
