Older panasonic cameras painfully lagging (newer cameras not so much, but still lag)

Im using BI 5.9.3.4.
Most of my cameras are older panasonic models and a few newer ones.
Suddenly, I noticed incredible lag on the older cameras and some lagging on the newer ones. I restarted the server and this fixed the issue for about two hours. After I noticed they started lagging again, I restarted and once again this fixed the issue but only for two hours. I remembered this happened to me before, and I resolved it by downloading the AMD graphic card driver (latest version) and this had fixed the issue. SO I downloaded the latest driver and updated my server in general. Huge mistake. Now the cameras lag ALL the time even if I restart. Even going back to an earlier restore point from three days ago when everything was fine doesn't help. Lag is now completely consistent.
I'm not an expert on this so any suggestions can help. I do notice that I have a "Check FPS and key rates" message, but even if I lower the FPS nothing helps. The fact that they were working fine before and now they are all lagging gives me the feeling that it may have to do with an update.
Any thoughts?

Have you experimented with another version of Blue iris yet?

Compatible with what OS?
W 10 w 11?
I've been a late adopter of releases. you can go backwards if your not current with license.

anyway. try disabling Hardware decoding on the panasonics

or try the "global" setting of No cameras on hardware decode. on the Cameras tab in the main settings gear icon.
