Hi everyone. I am having a hard time getting the ONVIF working on my cameras. when I try adding "&unicast=true&proto=Onvif" to the end of my stream profiles, I get a port error.

You need to check the get onvif triggers and make sure onvif is enabled on the camera.

Hit the find/inspect and post a screenshot of the pop up window as that will give us a clue.

sorry the get onvif triggers is checked, i was going back and forth so many times i posted the screen shot with it unchecked, but it is checked.

Instead of typing it in - select the pulldown next to default and see if it shows mainstream and substream - if so use those

Did you do the following:

  • Add camera
  • Type in IP address of camera
  • Type in username and password
  • Hit find/inspect
That should pull up the protocol.

Which camera is it?

If it is a camera with the new blue/white GUI, most here have found a factory reset of the camera is needed before it works properly with BI.

its an older camera not even sure what model off hand, old GUI. I didnt type in IP address of camera.

I did: add camera, username/password, hit find/inspect and chose the camera.

I tried deleting the camera and adding it back using your method of putting in the IP address. Same deal - just (default). The camera works, but as soon as I add "&unicast=true&proto=Onvif" to the stream profile I get the port error.

Ok try the method I suggested. It can make a difference.
