Looking at new PC. I've been running Optiplex 7040 for years, but Windows 10 EOL. Time for a new machine.

Any thoughts on this? Searching didn't find anything?

It is way overkill for BI, but if you want to spend the money go for it.

Keep in mind that as long as you do not use the computer for anything else, Windows 10 is fine to continue to use for BI.

The risk is if you use the computer to search the internet and have port forwarding open to the computer, etc.

If not, it is no different than an NVR that hasn't had an update in years, except you still benefit with up to date virus protection.

I do lots of other things on it too. I bought my 7040 Optiplex back in 2016 and has served me well.
