I purchased a DS-2CD1342G2-LIUF to replace a DS-2CD2332-I but it appears that HV has made the mounting base smaller such that I don't see how I can mount it directly to the brick without using a (unsightly) mounting box.
Here is the old DS-2CD2332-I camera attached directly to the brick with the connectors tucked behind the camera. The connectors are a tight fit in their waterproof coupling, but they do fit.

Here is the base of the old DS-2CD2332-I (on the right) next to the new DS-2CD1342G2-LIUF. You can see that there's less room in the base for the Ethernet connection. That's a shame because it forces you to use a mounting box.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas to flush mount the new camera?
