Why…just why?

"The cameras are working really well" he says while the video visibly slows and stutters. Some people just have no eye for detail I guess.

The entire unifi video interface appeared to be operating very slowly if you notice how long it took to switch cameras and load thumbnails. I'm guessing his computer was also connected to bad wifi.

I'm telling you man, so many people are BLIND to the deficiencies of their wifi.

This Device Bridge Switch is not something I would buy. I do appreciate the possible value of an all-in-one PoE switch with wireless backhaul, but I struggle to think of a situation where I'd want to use this particular implementation. As a permanent wireless backhaul, it should have a directional antenna. Ubiquiti knows this already.

The 2.5 and 10 Gbps ports make it needlessly expensive. 1 Gbps is even overkill for most of the things you're likely to plug into this.

This product would be more interesting if it was designed for outdoor use and cost $150. But $300 for indoor use, with omnidirectional wifi backhaul? No thanks. You can't even use it as a unifi access point. It says right in the FAQ this is not a wireless access point.
