What would say is the next best thing to the ipc-t5442tm-as, at maybe a cheaper price point?

That is going to be about the cheapest 1/1.8" sensor ratio that is 4MP on the ideal sensor size.

The next cheaper price point would be a 2MP on the 1/2.8" sensor, but it isn't that much cheaper than the workhorse 5442 series camera.
