IPC-HDW5231R-Z IP address constantly changing

This just happened to one of my camera from last night. Haven't touched it since putting it up years ago - sounds like I have to take it down to attempt a factory reset, else replace it with a spare on hand. Found this thread by searching 192.168.1.251.

If the IP changes on its own then that's an issue with the camera. Your network should only have an effect if the camera is set to dhcp

I've swapped it out with a spare after attempting to reset it with no luck.

i'm here 3 and a half years later having this exact issue! the camera served me well for many years. it's in a remote location in harsh conditions, so it will time to address it in person. i cannot easily swap the vlan to get to it at 192.168.1.251 because of remote access IP overlap.

It turns out that it's a known behavior of some Amcrest/Dahua/Lorex cameras to boot up and send out traffic from 192.168.1.251 before they request a DHCP address. Then they request DHCP and go back to where they're supposed to be.
