harm as in like pointing a laser in your eyeball and going blind? no.. the cameras will be unharmed, if they were powerfull enough to damage your camera lots of people would have already gone blind by em.
hurting your image quality? oah yeah, if you point a projector at your camera you can pretty much rest assured it'll ruin your exposures and result in nearly worthless video..

It's really starting to annoy me how many stores are putting these up in poorly thought out displays. I'm generally pretty aware of my surroundings, but I've had 2 of these catch me in the eye by surprise at stores this year. What kind of idiot puts these things pointed or mounted right at eye level. One of them actually fucked up my vision a bit for a couple hours.
