Ok before i start smashing everything ive come for help LOL
NVR internal NIC is 192.167.x.x
All my cameras are 192.167.x.x

Purchased a new camera, logged into it UI on my PC and I can't change the IP to 192.167 its only allowing 192.168.

Help?!?!!!?

Try a different browser? Probably one of those cameras sensitive to Internet Explorer!

You realize that more info might be helpful, don't you?
  • Is NVR a POE NVR where the cams are plugged in or are the cams plugged into a POE switch?
  • Make/model of NVR?
  • Make/model of the new cam?
But certainly, consider @wittaj 's suggestion first as it's a common issue.

Ive tried both POE into the nvr and thru a switch.
NVR has hikvision software
Camera is a no name brand from china but was recommended from a user on here. When I load it up in webpage it comes up as Dahua but the UI isn't Dahua.
I can change the ip to anything on the 192.168 but not to 167 so my NVR won't see it.

Have you tried logging into cam and setting to DHCP (not a static IP) and then plugging into NVR POE port?

It means that there are ranges identified as being internal, private LAN. The fact that you have a system set up as 192.167.x.x. means that something is royally messed up. That could be a WAN IP and the whole world is seeing your stuff.

These are the ranges for LAN private IP addresses and you are outside of it for your LAN:

10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255

Yeh so how do I change the internal NIC address for the NVR to 168 instead of 167?

Same way you would change a camera IP address. Find the networking tab in the NVR and change it.

Will it let you change to any of the other IP ranges I posted above? Most NVRs go with 10.0.0.X

Ok i manged to change it to 192.168.1.x but camera still wants 192.168.0.x it says IP doesn't match gateway.
Gateway is 192.168.0.x

I guess make the NVR 192.168.0.x ?

I hope this no name camera is worth it :lmao:

Which camera is it BTW, it seems weird it isn't letting you change stuff. Wonder if it wants to be able to phone home?

192.168 0 says internal conflict.
So i tried 10.0.0.x and its now all that, the camera just sits saying "detecting"

Recommended on here by someone and the Aliexpress sellers has 5 star reviews. Andy something i think was the seller.

If it is from @EMPIRETECANDY, a reputable seller here, then the camera should be fine as it would be a Dahua OEM.

At this point I would say factory reset it and try over.
