Internal AI vs CPAI performance

Now that 6.x with built in AI has been out awhile I decided to give it another try. I had been using CPAI with YoloV8 Medium on a GTX 1660ti. Just switched to internal using YoloV8 Medium and the same GPU.

I used to look at the CPAI dashboard to see how it was performing, but obviously that doesn't work with the built in AI.

How are you comparing performance between the two? The only metric I know to look at is the analysis details but the round trip times are all over the place there regardless of which AI engine I'm using.

The "AI Inspection" tab (same set of tabs that include the running log, camera stats, CPU and RAM usage, etc...) has a set of stats in the lower left corner with (overall average) analysis time and total number of analyses since BI was last restarted (or a manual Reset has been done in this tab window). Run it both ways for a day or so each time and compare. Do not rely on the initial (short term) analysis times after starting BI - they are always WAY longer initially for the first dozen or more analyses.

Ah cool, I don't think I ever noticed that stat down there.. I also just learned you can ctrl-double click a clip and open directly to the ai stats tab.
