In Dahua, why doesn't the camera show when I assign the correct IP?

There is a Dahua NVR2104 video recorder with TCP/IP address 192.168.0.50. In the “Switch” section, the address is automatically set to 10.1.1.1. When connecting cameras, their IP address is automatically assigned as 10.1.1.18. After changing the camera’s IP to 192.168.0.51, the device fails to recognize the camera. What needs to be done for everything to function properly? what should be the ip address in the switch?

Thanks

That is by design as the NVR acts as a firewall and assigns the IP of 10.x.x.x. You would have to bridge mode the NVR which is not advised.

what can I do to make the camera with the assigned ip 192.168.x.x work?
It is basic networking knowledge.
Devices on the same network IP range can communicate with each other. Devices not on the same range cannot connect to each other.

By design the NVRs isolate cameras on their POE switch side to the 10.1.1.xx range.

You can enable 'bridge model' in switch settings of the NVR if you wish for the cameras to be directly accessible through your home network. This would make all your cameras get assigned to the 192.168.0.x range of your home network.
Note: this means your router is now in control of setting IP addresses and you lose 'plug & play' of the NVR being able to setup a brand new camera connected. This opens issues of cameras or devices on your network having IP conflicts and stopping video from being recorded.
Use at your own risk.

If you want to login directly to your cameras for setup; do so through the NVRs web interface page. Click the Edge icon.
A new browser tab opens to your NVRs IP address and port opened to the camera directly. But this only works while you are logged into the NVR web page, it will timeout after 15min of inactivity.

Your ip is 192.168.0.x, please show the "switch" section, what IP is there?

My NVR's network switch is on 10.1.1.x. The default.
There are also cameras added from my main LAN on the 192.168.1.x range. Those are connected through my home router (and many other devices to each their location).

Why is it not detected when the camera has ip 192.168.0.x? and with 10.1.x.x, it finds it immediately and of course it doesn't work, another network. I have an IP "switchboard" like yours.

Now we're getting somewhere.
I assumed your issue was trying to login directly to your cameras. I see your issue is getting them setup normally through the POE switch on the NVR.

Share a picture of your NVRs live view screen. It'll show the error why it cannot show the camera feed. Most likely it'll show a password input box and ask for the camera's password. Or "Account locked", "Over Decode ability", etc.

yes, there is such a thing, "account is blocked", "enter password"

Just as I reply, this video loads.

"Failed to find network host" means the cameras could not be found on that IP address.
Use the tool to search for cameras in "add camera' menu.

Delete the current two cameras (delete icon in your picture next to the red dot) and let the NVR find the cameras reconnected. They've obviously changed passwords and now you need to login to them again.
Reset each camera by the reset button inside if you do not know the password.

Thanks, I'll check the camera settings.

If you buy a small 4 or 5 port POE switch, you can add the camera's to that, and login to the NVR and use " Device Search" to find the new cameras. I like this method best for my needs.
By default the new Dahua camera should have an IP address of 192.168.1.108 i believe. But sometimes they respond to DHCP in the local router, and may show a local IP address from the Pool of available LAN addresses.

The camera is not found in the search. That's why I added it manually, and it appeared in the list, but it doesn't work. The camera is working in the laptop, the password is new, the ip is 192.168.1.108

Oh, so it's a Hikvision (or other 3rd party camera).
You'll need to manually setup ONVIF login, assign it a static IP within your NVRs switch 10.1.1.x range, then plug it in and manually configure.
