Hi!

I've updated a Dahua DH-P5B-PV via the app yesterday to its latest version:

This has added a GIGANTIC Dahua logo on the top left:

I am unable to remove the logo as I do not find any setting for this in the DMSS lite app nor the config tool. The camera has no web interface available.

Any suggestions? :-)

Thanks!

Have you tried using SmartPSS? The video shows it for an Imou camera,

but it should also work with a Dahua camera.

Note 1: The DH-P5B-PV is originally a model that Dahua initially released as an Imou model.

Note 2: It also worked with my Imou DB61i doorbell using the Amcrest View Pro app. Now, the option to deactivate it is also available in the Imou app.

AWESOME!! Thank you, this worked.
Downside is, that the Channel Title is now also gone but that's better then the giant logo.
Also, the logo comes back after a reboot of the camera

I was also able to adjust the position of the time overlay to align with the rest of my cameras which was not possible with the DMSS App or config tool.

Since Smart PSS is end of life, is there a sucessor? Smart PSS Lite seems to miss all the configuratio options.

Great that it worked out.:) Yes, SmartPSS was apparently discontinued at the end of 2024, and the replacement is the SmartPSS Lite version. However, I've never used it, so I don't know what features it includes. It's best to back up SmartPSS just in case you need it again.

Personally, I don't really need SmartPSS because I can configure the settings using my Dahua NVR.

Is there any long-term & supported solution ?
Were you able to remove the logo using SmartPSS or not? :)
As I already mentioned in #2, the logo could always be permanently removed using SmartPSS, or the software, tools, or apps that companies like Amcrest or Imou provided for their Dahua OEM models. I can't imagine that Dahua would prevent this with any current firmware for any model.
