How to configure IVS trip wire for SD42212T-HN

I have been trying to get my SD42212T-HN setup with the IVS trip wire to record and email snapshot. Does anyone have tips on how they got their IVS to work with a trip wire setup? Read all the forums and online manuals for Dahua but it still doesn't seem to be working correctly.

I use trip wire with my two dome cams. It works fairly well. Not perfectly. Granted, mine is an outdoor application. Shadows, bugs, moving foliage can cause false alarms. Placing the trip wire can reduce the problem.

Setup:
place the tripwires
save
define min and max object size
save
Use live view, you should see the trip wires.
cross the ttrip wires. The lines should flash red.
