Nice info! I've been thinking that there must be one heck of a big and complex infrastructure in Italy, even with NBC doing the final mix over here. I think it's pretty obvious that the individual countries don't have their own cams for the actual event coverage. The ice rinks, ski slopes, etc. all have cams, plus there are the drones. Somebody in Italy has to be operating these things, then the audio+video needs to be distributed to the numerous country networks. I suppose the IOC could have contracted with NBC or somebody similar, or maybe they have their own staff to operate the system. They surely contracted with somebody to build it.
