I have been reading the topics on how to convert a Chinese version to an English one.
Unfortunately, it seems that with my firmware version (V5.4.34 build 180830), it will be tricky, while I am not an expert.
My first idea was only to get the language changed from 2 (Chinese) to 1 (English). But I have quickly realized that connecting using Putty did offer me only a very restricted list of commands, so I am unable to browse through the files of the camera.
One thing which may worth mentioning is that I did not find this model of Camera, even on the Chinese website. I can find an equivalent (same characteristics,) but with a different reference:
So mine has DC (I have never seen this anywhere), while on the Chinese website, it is PT.
On the International site, it is referenced as DS-2PT3326IZ (without the D3).
I would like to evaluate the option to use this topic r0-ds-2cd2x32 brick recovery and full upgrade tool but before, I would be more comfortable having the possibility to download the original firmware I have in my camera and eventually an older firmware (I know that in version 5.4.34 like mine, I probably cannot downgrade).
So my first question is: how can I identify the correct firmware file to use: I see G0 there, R0 here, etc.
I believe mine would need the G1, but I am not 100% sure and I prefer not to try if I have not put all chances on my side.
