hikvision DVR audio recording

hi,

i have hikvision dvr with normal mic plugged into the rca audio in jack on the dvr.

i can only hear the mic in two-way audio mode, and playback doesn't seem to record it.

DS-7204HUHI-K2

this is the model i have with 4 rca audio in for each of the 4 channels

how do i set it to record audio? thanks
