Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

Yes, after the update, the camera will switch from active to inactive, allowing you to set a new password. You only need to update the firmware, nothing else.

Hi Everyone, Recently moved into a new property with 5 year old Hikvision system with DVR and analog cameras. Needed recording of 2 days back. Tried the password reset tool but that doesn't seem to be working. Getting the error "Device process failed. Please contact the system manufacturer.."

Here are the device details:

Attaching the csv exported from SADP and the xml output from Hitoosdelivery as well.

Request to please guide on the password reset process.

Question for the experts - I received a few Hikvision cameras from a friend and he has no idea what the password is. These cameras do not have the physical reset button and the HiTools Delivery exports a corrupt XML file. The file is a single line and is like this for one of the cameras: AwAAADQ5MDE2MDU0NJWF+HQ=

The cameras are running v5.4.5 and all of them (different models) have the same result (different gibberish for each camera) with the HiTools Delivery. I am running Windows 11 and AV & firewall are all disabled.

I've tried the but it pops up an authentication prompt.

I'm hoping to use these cameras as my older ones are starting to fail.

Many thanks.

Nevermind folks! I found one of the cameras (it is always the last one you check) that had old firmware. I was able to pull the configuration file, decrypt and see the password. It worked for the other devices.
