I have bricked m NVR by loading the wrong firmware but now cannot recover the NVR, any help would be appreciated.

I purchased the Hikvision NVR DS7616NI-I2 16P back in 2018 from an Australian company, I installed an intercom recently and was having issues with the NVR and intercom when motion detection was turned on so I figured id upgrade the firmware just in case that may help. I got the firmware from the Australian Hikvision site (V4.61.030build 240123) and updated via the GUI and this has now bricked the NVR. IP address has reverted back to 192.0.0.64 and no login works. NVR displays the login screen with NVR 4.0 but username is scrambled.

I have tried to reflash the unit via Hikvision TFTP with the firmware I was provided by the retailer when I reached out to them (V3.4.93) which is only 23.1mb in size. The process appears upload the file but it never flashes to the NVR. I can see the client connect success, transfer start then completed file. But that’s it, then the NVR boots to the new 4.0 login screen still with the scrambles username.

I did try to use the solar winds TFTP server but have been unable to get that to connect.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to reflash this properly so I can use it again?
