Hi! I work at a company that currently use Dahua for our security cameras, i have about 60 NVRs each running 10-30 cameras (depending on property). I just received approval to purchase EmpireTech for one of our smaller properties as a test. I want this to be able to integrate with the already in use DMSS app. As the P2P service and remotely viewing from the app is what our CEO wants. We are not looking to add another app to the cameras, nor am I able to make an entire swap for the company at this time. Does anyone have experience with this? Currently using Dahua and adding EmpireTech that is. The property is small, single NVR and 3 cameras. Would probably purchase an 8 channel NVR or 16 if price is similar. I'd rather buy only 16 channel NVRs as we end up moving them around to different properties at times.

Any tips would be appreciated!

they are the same equipment as Dahua, simply under different brand and model names (can be sometimes confusing)..

Don't buy 8 channels NVR - they always are too small..

Most popular cams for home installations are now: TIOC-PRO 3449-PRO (called Color4M in Andy shop) and WizMind-S 5442-S3 (called 54IR in Andy shop).
Both are 4 Mpx with big 1/1.8" sensor which give nice image at night...

TIOC-PRO have a lot nice features for homes (mixed/switchable white/IR, alarm with sound siren and blue/red lights etc)..

Thanks for the tip! I agree, we haven't bought anything less than a 16 in a long time. It never fails after I do an install there is the question of how many more cameras can we add? We also have this ..... that we didn't mention.

That's what I hear! Is there any special configuration to do in order to make p2p work through the DMSS app? or is the firmware even the same and will just run this normally?

Same.
The guy who licks the stickers doesn’t mess with the FW

Trick is matching up the model numbers to the Dahua Intl numbers

Specs usually help you sort it out

This is the use case for DSS server. A centralised server (at HQ office) to login to all NVRs and view/manage NVRs.
You can try it for free to view up to 64 Dahua camera. Download DSS from Dahua website, setup the server, then open the IP address into your computer browser. A QR code & link will show to download the viewing client app.

Empiretech's cameras are Dahua OEMS and will work with DMSS app.
DSS server does not have P2P access via the app.
