GPU Replacement

Last night I had a power failure and failed my GPU. I'm using an old gaming rig and there is no built in graphics on the motherboard. I'm running an I7 9700KF on an MSI mobo with 16 gb or ram. The gpu was a RTX 2080 TI. My cpu usage is usually 20-30% and hasn't changed much until it starts processing an image then it jumps up into the 60-70 range. If my motherboard had integrated graphics I probably wouldn't even replace it but I'm getting boot errors sometimes and the the GPU fans will go to 100% for no reason sometimes. Any recommendations? It's an old system so I don't want to slam a ton of money into it.

I would consider a price range you're happy with and then see what's new and used in that range, as unless you have a lot of cameras AI analysis isn't overly taxing. Lower end GPUs often idle with lower watts than more powerful models and still avoid the CPU spikes which is why I use GPUs for those occasions when its raining heavily or snowing which could overload the CPU and affect BI general operation.

In my case I went with an RTX 3060 in each of my Proxmox hosts for BI VM use and they're fine with my 14 cameras. I mainly picked them in a price range due to the 12GB VRAM but that was a couple of years back when pricing was a lot better.
