I have an old C2 Foscam ipcam, and 1 laptop upgraded from W10 to W11 with genuine Windows Update.
On this laptop, i have installed ipcwebcomponents (v 5.1.0.13, the last available) in 2021, on W10.
Everything is still working now on W11 24H2 and Firefox.
I bought a new PC 3 months ago and tried to log to ipcamclient from FOSCAM\SearchTool_windows\
It says Download the plugin, so i did !
But when i execute ipcwebcomponents.exe, a pop-up loop with :
Detected that the program is running. click "Yes" to turn off the program and continue the installation, or click "No" to exit the installation.
doesn't allow me to install this plugin.
So, i have found a 'special' solution.
I have searched all the "ipcwebcomponents" on my laptop and his registry
First : the directory IPCWebComponents in Programmes (x86) on my french W11 version, maybe Program (x86) for English version
SECOND : 13 registry keys that i have exported, 2 for Firewall rules, 11 for Program Ipcxebcomponents himself.
I copy the directory on my new PC and install all the 13 registry keys AND IT'S WORKING NOW
FOSCAM FIREFOX HOMEPAGE
So, i can make a zip file, it's working for Firefox only because i never use Chrome or Edge
I don't know if this thread helps, but in case of........Files
So, let me know if you need the zip file.
You can scan all the files with your favorite AntiVirus or Windows Defender, they are clean
