Empiretech Turrent Type camera.
I have 10 cameras, this one died and I tried to reboot it.

I unplugged camera and brought into house and plugged it direct to POE router with short cord, nothing.
POE port doesn't even light up with power.

Anything else to try?
Is there a model number located on the outside of camera to figure out what to replace with?

check the brass pins in the RJ45 connector.
Odds are, if any outdoor IP camera magically dies without getting any link like when directly plugged into a POE switch, odds are the pins shorted out which could fry the camera.
Any outdoor camera, I add di-electric grease to. A little $10 safety measure against my thousands sunk into cameras.

Don't know what the model number of your camera is and looking to replace it?
The best ROI could be the T541 series. Win, Lose, or Draw... that is the reference camera everyone who are not into the IP camera world should start with.

Normally you would find a sticker on the ball it's self or on the mounting ring.
If it is indeed dead, this is an excellent replacement. HERE
