Happy accident report.
Was thinking I could buy a used Dahua/Lorex/Amcrest camera to address my cracked glass Z12E cam.
Showed up today. body is WAY smaller. Not going to fit for replacement glass.
I thought, well lets see what the hell happens if I plug it in. It was a Rig Job siliconed female RJ45 jack.
I figured I'd be visiting Google to relocate the Dahua punch down schematic.
The Cisco happy link light lit up, then the Activity light light up and I thought "wow" maybe the dam thing still works.
I jumped on Amcrest Ip config program and there it was at 10.10.0.7
So i went back out and held the Reset button for about 20 seconds.
And Ip config Showed a Lorex LNB9252 @ 192.168.1.235
Ran it thru BI and got it to pull up the camera. It's an 8MP on a 1/2.8 sensor, and has audio functionality as well.
low light in color is underwhelming. but I'm sure I can find a home for it somewhere. As we have Boo Koo outdoor lighting in back and on driveway.
