Direct-To-Disk .bvr Playback Control Issue

I'm using D2D .bvr format and the files that are being produced will play in MPC , but you cannot control the video. There is no pause, no FF, RW nothing... Is this a known issue or am I just doing it wrong?

I'm surprised bvr plays in mpc...its designed to be played back within blue iris.
