Dahua v5 upgrade questions / Empiretech Taurus

Hi. I just received my new empiretech gear and was wanting to upgrade to Dahua v5.
I started looking up firmware updates and model numbers and noticed that Empiretech firmware is from "Taurus Platform". Is this a replacement for the Dahua UI? Or a rebranded firmware?
Either way, is it possible to upgrade to the Dahua v5 firmware?
I have the IPC-color4k cameras and NVR16CH-16P-2XI

Updating FW is like smoking. Bad habit

Why do you want to update?
More problems are caused by updating fw with little or no benefit . General rule if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Or just because you can doesn’t always mean it’s a good idea.

That said, each component, camera, NVR is different and has different FWs. Taurus is a Dahua line of FW.

You have to be careful as many cameras have different versions S1, S2, etc and not all versions accept every FW update.

What version FW is your existing equipment?
