Based on recommendations here, and all the positives I read about purchasing from Andy. I took the plunge. Ordered mine this last Wed, 5-16. Today 5-18 I have my camera tested and running flawless in all the features that I was able to test.

I must say that Andy rocks. His service and all his responses to all my questions before purchasing were perfect and almost instant. Thank you Andy.

Now to the question I have. The camera I purchased is PAL, I had planned on updating with NTSC some time later but now I am staring to wonder if there is any benefit to doing so. I have read report here that focus is improved. Not sure what that means unless it is faster focusing as you zoom.

Any and all thoughts, experiences, and opinions are welcome.

Hi David,

PAL vs NTSC - iirc it is mostly a question of max fps, in general other than that it seems to make little difference.
( some cameras configured for PAL will max at 25 of 50 fps, and NTSC at 30 or 60 fps ... for most of us 25 vs 30 fps is not that important, and 50 vs 60 fps even less - of course depends on your needs )
