Looking at new system install, want IP cameras with Poe but have one location where I want to use existing coax. Other locations can be cat cable.
Trying to decide which way to go. Dahua nvr pro series with epoe in conjunction with their passive interfaces on the coax run. Others can be cat cables.
Or buy a nvr with standard poe, use one of their passive interfaces along with one of their active interfaces on the coax run.
What I don't know is if i use epoe does the cameras have to be epoe or can they be poe. Would epoe limit me to dahua for the cameras?
I'm weighing cost differences, simplicity, etc.
What are pros/cons of the built in epoe versus standard poe? I've only got to go about 300' max.
Thanks
