Dahua NVR built in POE with newer firmware also change default passwords for connected cameras?

I'm a little confused. Did dahua update their firmware so that when setting up their NVR with built in POE, it also changes the default passwords for connected cameras to your new NVR password??

My NVR5216-16P already did that in 2018. Which can be a nice feature, no?

It's a GREAT feature! it just took me by surprise as the brand new cameras weren't taking the default password. Then I tried my NVR password and it worked. Threw me off haha
