Dahua camera forced settings

Does anyone know if there's a way (that actually works) to stop the Dahua NVRs from forcing settings to the camera?
I program all camera settings via browser on each individual camera, yet after a day or so, the NVR's forcing schedules, motion/ivs settings back to stock.
I'm seeing a few conflicting pieces of information on this. You'd think Dahua would put a "do not update" option for each camera or NVR-wide.

I would suggest a factory reset of NVR and then bring each camera in one at a time and wait for the camera to show up before adding the next. That should force it to accept the camera settings.

This

Its rare but it happens.
Usually due to making Camera setting adjustments on the NVR gui at some point.
I've seen an email linkage disappear on the NVR even though its set on the camera, and a rule direction change, but thats about it.

Over the years with countless firmware iterations and camera models, especially when the switch to an entirely new GUI like the latest cameras, its surprising it doesnt happen a lot.
Remember many of the settings on the camera aren't even available via the NVR gui. They can't be as those change often in new models.

And of course with the new NVRs where you can set separate AI rules and schedules to be run on the NVR that are separate from the camera settings, its easy for someone to overlook that they have two different sets of rules for instance.

My golden rule advice continues to be make ALL camera settings on the camera GUI if available. Use the NVR for record scheduling, network, and high level things.
If you must take advantage of NVR settings that effect the camera, hit SAVE/REFRESH 3X then be sure and login to the camera afterwards and make certain they match 100% and hit SAVE/REFRESH there 3X.

Of course it pays to make sure you are the only one controlling your NVR. ;)
