Hi there. Couldn't find an existing thread, so decided to ask a question.
Please share your experience regarding Dahua VTO doorbells with and/or without VTH.
I want to install VTO2202F-P-S3 or VTO2201F-P-S2 intercom and DEE1010B-S2 module to control 2 gates, and wire it via PoE ethernet.
My goal is to be able to control it via mobile app & Home Assistant (receive "calls" when somebody rings the bell and open gate 1 or gate 2).
But I am thinking of installing VTH to have a fallback in case iOS DMSS/HASS is unstable.
And I'll wire physical buttons for opening the gates too.
Thank you in advance

- Does it make sense to invest in Android-based VTH (performance, stability, power consumption)?
- Does Android VTH use DMSS or other, VTH-specific app?
- What is the difference between Android and Linux VTHs feature-wise (besides the UI)?
- What's the difference between series VTH8xxx, VTH5xxx, VTH2xxx? Here in EU it's hard to find any VTH8xxx?
- Any experience with DMSS on iOS without VTH?
- Does DMSS require a license for use with VTO2202F-P-S3 or VTO2201F-P-S2? I found this article where it says that it does (no idea if it's applicable to these VTO models): DahuaWiki
Thank you in advance
