From all appearances, the China Coast Guard was chasing the Philippine Coast Guard in disputed waters. China Coast guard ship thought they would pull a fast one and try to overtake PCG ship, shooting the ship with it's water cannon. China Navy looks like they wanted in on the action, but forgot to tell the Coast Guard to stand down. Well, you can watch the video and decide for yourself. I suspect there is some missing or dead CCG personnel that used to be on the bow of the CCG ship seconds before the bow got shortened by about 30 feet.
