Long time no post. Hi again all. I had a security breech back in October. My cable provider alerted me to it. It was a telnet breech and was knocking my Internet wifi offline big time. Turns out it was associated with the 37777 port I had forwarded. Once I changed those ports in the dvr, problem solved. It may be common knowledge here. I haven't been around in a while. For years I never had the problem but I certainly recommend changing those default ports and forwarding them.

Forwarding ports is bad, the'll find it on an alternative port number.. just takes more time; go read my VPN Primer for Noobs

Welcome back!

Good to see you're still here! I'll check that out. I'm gearing my brain up to finally install my megapixel system from 3 years ago so I'm hitting the forum again. It's been so long since I opened the boxes but I know I have a dahua 8 poe nvr and dahua 3mp cameras. I put together a nice system for 2014 but never installed it all. Hopefully I'll have the gumption this spring.
